I was playing as a dwarf barbarian and my friend was playing as a human wizard and the party ended up getting marooned on an island. The wizard and myself both ended up together after waking up and decided to go into the woods in front of us. After we entered the woods we decided to actually figure out which way was North as a point of reference. We each rolled survival and I managed to guess the correct direction while my wizard friend rolled a one and thought South was north. Arguing he managed to convince me that South was actually North and seen as my barbarian couldn't even read or write decided to go along with it and for the rest of the campaign we both believed North was South and always got lost.
