What’s In BRAWLER, BANDIT, BRIGAND, BARD Exactly?

Adam Hancock’s newest DM Guild supplement, Brawler, Bandit, Brigand, Bard brings over 70 non-player characters (NPCs) into the Dungeons & Dragons universe. For doing so, it provides a multitude of stat blocks to choose from, including shapeshifter Beast Walker and fire genasi Inferno.

On top of the 70 new stat blocks, the publication also provides its users with tools to create their very own NPCs based on Wizard of the Coast’s unofficial guidelines. Just pick from the four available NPC classes and imitate their abilities and features. Additionally, you can also make use of the racial features to better customize your stat blocks as per the official ones.

What Is A Dungeons & Dragons NPC?

If you are a Dungeon Master, one can’t help but recommend using a non-playing character (NPC) to spice up your gameplay. But what exactly is an NPC? Well, as its name suggests, an NPC in Dungeons & Dragons is is any active creature in the game’s setting controlled by the DM instead of a player, from a cleric to a zombie to a dog to an animated chandelier. If you would like to know how they know more about them, we recommend you to give DMG Chapter 4 – Nonplayer Characters a read.

A Final Word

Blame it on the game’s popularity or the fact that there are only 232 official ones, but unofficial NPCs are never in short supply when we’re talking about Dungeons & Dragons. However, with Brawler, Bandit, Brigand, Bard, you get a good variety of stat blocks to choose from. Moreover, you can craft your own character using the preexisting content which makes it a great investment.
