When a Tree Became a Wisp Golem

D&d Story!!! I had a great moment when I was DMing and the PCs had entered a ring of trees with one 50ft ancient tree at its centre. They carried with them an evil relic and when this ancient tree began to spawn will o’wisps to destroy the relic they got annoyed and lit the tree on fire… I couldn’t help but grin at that. I placed one of the large d&d figure bases on the table and they were like, “oh god, a Treant!” My reply was, “No it was a Wisp Golem and that large base…that base was where it is taking its first step.” Panicked combat ensued.  MWAHAHAHAHA!!! Good fun though everyone even ended up surviving.
