Premiering as a Netflix original in 2016, Stranger Things is already gearing for its fourth season. Rated 8.8 on IMDb, the series reeks of geek culture, taking things here and there from the likes of Steven Spielberg and Stephen King. Another massive influence on the hugely popular show is DnD.
Release Date
Season 4 is expected to air by the end of 2020, and at least by early 2021.
Cast
As there is still more or less a year to go before the season airs, the official cast is yet to be announced. Of course, fans can expect familiar faces including Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Sadie Sink (Max), McLaughlin (Lucas), Joe Keery (Steve Harrington). Fans might want to cross off Keery rocking a sailor suit in the future, though.
Plot Details
The teaser for season 4 is telling, especially the fact that Eleven has to fend off a monster in UpsideDown on her own. This indicates that the crew "are not in Hawkins anymore."
Revealed in the trailer
Other rumors indicating plot details include Hopper being revealed as the American in a Russian prison. Another fan theory suggests Dr. Martin Brenne as being the American. We know that season 4 is being filmed in a Lithuanian jail. Moreover, as revealed in the trailer, the setting is spring 1986 during the Chernobyl disaster. Thus, one can expect Eleven and the monster wreaking havoc in "nuclear" proportions.
